UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI SENIOR LAURA MYERS TAKES HOME $29,900

THE 2009 JEOPARDY! COLLEGE CHAMPIONSHIP

of Missouri, placed third in the 21st Jeopardy! College Championship, taking home $29,900 in
cash winnings.

“My experience on ‘Jeopardy!’ was completely surreal,” said Myers. “It’s a show I’ve grown
up watching, but I never imagined that I’d be a contestant, much less make the finals! It
was challenging, fun, surprisingly exhausting and definitely an experience I will never
forget.”

Myers who hails from Richmond, VA enjoys spending her free time reading, shopping, watching
sports and singing karaoke with friends.  When asked about plans for her winnings, Myers
replied, “Shoe shopping! A pair of Louboutins or Manolos will definitely be in my future.  I
also want to travel, but I’m not sure where I want to go yet.”

Patrick Tucker, a senior at University of Notre Dame, finished first in the tournament,
winning the $100,000 grand prize.  Second place winner Eric Betts, a senior at Emory
University, pocketed $50,000.
