Frasier flips through Seattle Magazine, and reveals his infatuation with Madeline Marshall, a stunning MBA who’s been named one of the city’s “hottest” women. Goaded by Roz, Frasier calls Madeline and asks her out. After a successful first date at a charming French restaurant, Frasier
basks in the bliss of blossoming love. When Frasier spots Madeline coming into the radio station, he fears she’s about to dump him. Happily, Madeline suggests they take off on a romantic vacation together to test their compatibility.

As Frasier and Madeline prepare for a romantic night in their Bora Bora cottage, Lilith and her new boyfriend Brian coincidentally show up in the cottage next door. To cope with the awkwardness of the situation, the four agree to dine
together. Later, Frasier, ever-jealous of Brian, imitates having a wild night of passion -- a performance which Madeline, Lilith, and Brian watch in utter disbelief. Back in Seattle, Madeline accepts Frasier’s on-air apology and the two
profess their true interest in one another. Too bad their moment of bonding is interrupted by Lilith, who shows up at Frasier’s condo. Feeling unwanted, Madeline beats a hasty retreat.

Martin runs for condo board president and Frasier does all the work. Frasier wants to be the condo board president, but knows he’ll never win after getting on the bad side of every board member. So, he convinces Martin to run against him, knowing they’ll choose his likeable father over him, then he can push all his agendas through Martin. In return, Frasier promises to do all the work and appease Martin by getting wider parking spaces. Frasier and Martin deliver their election speeches and as expected, the board unanimously votes Martin in.

Frasier plots revenge when Bulldog plays a Halloween prank on him. Bulldog plays the ultimate Halloween prank on Frasier by towing his BMW and replacing it with a smashed up model from the impound lot. Frasier denies falling for it, but soon discovers they caught his hysteria on tape. His coworkers find the joke to be hilarious, but Frasier is bitter and seeks revenge.

Frasier and Niles steal their neighbor’s invitation to an elite spa. Frasier accidentally gets his neighbor Cam Winston’s mail and is intrigued by an exclusive invitation to a mysterious locale. He and Niles are hurt that they were left out and decide to show up at the address given to find out more information.

ENEMY AT THE GATE
Frasier refuses to pay an unfair fee at a parking garage.
Frasier drives Niles to the mall so he can return a birdcage for his two lovebirds—appropriately named Niles and Daphne. Right after pulling into the parking garage, Frasier realizes the clock is wrong and he’s late for his radio show. He immediately turns around and the tenant charges him two dollars, even though he never parked. Frasier refuses to pay the fee and to prove his point, he parks his car next to the attendant booth to get his 20 minutes worth. Behind him, a line of traffic forms, but he remains parked. Frasier calls the station to have Roz stall on the air, while Niles threatens to abort the mission.

KISSING COUSIN
Roz feels old when her twenty-something cousin comes to town. Roz’s critical, twenty-something cousin Jen arrives into town from London. Jen remembers Roz from her wilder days and is convinced she is the only cool person is Seattle and frowns upon everyone else’s lifestyle. Frasier finds her to be
judgmental and rather rude, as do others. Roz tries to live up to her cousin’s expectations and returns to life in the fast lane, struggling to keep the late night hours.

BRISTLE WHILE YOU WORK
Niles fears that his toothache is the symptom of a heart condition. Interviewing housekeepers turns into a difficult task when Frasier realizes that no one can fill Daphne’s shoes. When an attractive thirty-something candidate, Trish, arrives late for her interview, Frasier is leery and puts her to the test. However, Martin is so impressed by her interest in the Sonics that he hires her on the spot. Frasier disagrees with Martin’s rash decision and washes his
hands of all responsibility.

ROOMS WITH A VIEW
Niles’ surgery brings about reflections of the past, present and future. Prepped and gowned, Niles awaits bypass surgery as his loved ones surround him. When Maris calls to wish him well, he begs the nurse to sedate him. Daphne is particularly nervous, while Martin makes light of the situation by
comparing Niles to a car going in the shop. Frasier treats it as a research project and annoys everyone by handing out packets of information about the procedure and even tries to advise the doctor, implying that he can do the operation more
effectively himself, much to Niles objection.

DON’T GO BREAKING MY HEART
Niles has to step up to the plate after having a heart-rending scare. The gang throws a party for Niles when he returns home after his heart surgery. After his brush with death, Niles talks about his new zeal for life and his determination to make the most of every moment. Roz finds it odd that Frasier is
suddenly agreeable with his brother and Frasier admits that he made a deal with God before the operation—if Niles pulls through, he won’t argue with him anymore. Even though Niles has permission to resume normal activity, he avoids his
favorite foods, hobbies and even refrains from being intimate with Daphne. Frasier’s inability to argue with his brother wears on his patience, especially when Niles calls the radio show to critique his advice. Frasier manages to bite his tongue because he is convinced that God will punish him if he doesn’t keep his promise.
